PAS is in the thick of things at the DCI World Championships this year. Our new offices are right next to DCI’s offices, so we are getting a great behind-the-scenes look at how the event comes together. We also have a booth at the DCI Marketplace in Lucas Oil Stadium, so if you’re in the area, please stop by and say hi!

Percussive Notes and Percussion News
This coming summer, we are changing our publishing schedule of Percussive Notes and Percussion News. Publication dates will switch so that Notes will come out in January, March, May, July, September, and November, and News will come out in February, April, June, August, October, and December. Changing the publication schedule will allow us to be more timely with specific issues. In order to make the change, we are publishing a combined August/September issue of Notes that will include articles on the Hall of Fame inductees as well as PASIC preview articles and information.

Facebook wasn’t originally designed with organizations like ours in mind, it was intended for people to have individual profiles. Eventually, groups of people started to form around a particular like (or dislike), and hence the PAS Group was formed almost two years ago. Now, the PAS Group has nearly 3,000 members! Facebook has evolved since the PAS Group was started and now organizations are able to have a “Page” that allows Facebook users to become “fans” of brands, organizations and causes they want to hear from.
We just launched our “Page” dedicated to the Percussive Arts Society, so we hope you stop by and become a Fan!
